A rollover swing (also known as a monkey swing or monkey cage ) is a ride that can be found at folk festivals and fairs , in which a passenger can achieve a rollover around the pivot point of the swing solely through muscle strength and shifting their own weight . During his activities, the passenger stands freely in a cage or a cabin that is suspended from a steel structure mounted on the pivot point of the swing. In contrast to the similar rollover ship swing , the passenger's head is constantly above the body while driving in a rollover swing . The cage of a rollover swing can usually be occupied by up to two people.
