Þjóðveldisbær is a replica of the Viking Age Icelandic farm Stöng , which was buried under ashes when the Hekla volcano erupted in 1104.

The reconstruction consists of three buildings - including a long house - and was started in 1974 on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the settlement of Iceland. The property is located on Þjórsárdalsvegur S32 .
