The vehicles of the ČD series 750.7 are diesel-electric locomotives from the Czech railway company České dráhy (ČD) for express and express train services. They were created as part of a reconstruction program from vehicles from the 750 series (formerly T 478.3).

history

The locomotives of the 750.7 series were built at CZ LOKO in Česká Třebová from the 750 series vehicles, which were built in the 1970s by ČKD Praha for the then Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) as the T 478.3 series. All that remained of the donor locomotives were the frames, vehicle bodies and bogies. The entire drive system and the driver's cabs were renewed. A new CAT 3512 C diesel engine from Caterpillar was installed as the main drive . In addition, the vehicles received push-pull train control.
