The vehicles of the ČSD series E 467.0 were electric locomotives of the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD). They were used on the previous 1.5 kV direct current system in the Prague railway junction .

history

At the beginning of the 1920s, the ČSD planned a comprehensive electrification of their railway lines with 1500 volts direct current. In 1925, ČSD ordered a total of 16 electric test locomotives for the first planned routes in the Prague hub. These included three locomotives for passenger train service, which were to be built by Škoda in Plzeň .

The three locomotives were delivered to ČSD by Škoda in 1927. They were given the series designation E 466.0 according to their axle order and axle mass. Two more locomotives with higher axle loads and power were put into service in 1930. Therefore, in 1931, all locomotives were redrawn as the E 467.0 series.

The locomotives were retired by 1964.

technical features

The locomotives were designed as single- frame locomotives with a single axle drive. The power transmission from the twin motors to the axles was done with the so-called Škoda drive . In order to enable good arc travel, the outer drive wheel sets were guided together with the running axles in a bogie.
