The vehicles of the ČSD series T 200.0 belonged to the so-called Breuer tractors type TZp IV and were manufactured in 1931 by Univesa in Prague under license from the former Breuer works .

At that time they were included in the series scheme of the former Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD), although they represented more shunting devices for connecting traffic on works tracks.

history

Breuer tractors were produced in large numbers in a total of five different designs, some reference lists give a number of over 500 vehicles. Many vehicles were manufactured under license abroad, such as these two vehicles of the former Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD. At the state railway, they did not meet the expected results in shunting because their weight was too light and operation was a bit too cumbersome for the rough shunting service. They were used in Prague , Děčín and Kořenov , among others .

Therefore, both copies were sold to different factories, where they proved themselves very well in the factory shift. This shows their long lifespan. The T 200.001 was sold to the metallurgical company in Vítkovice (Ostrava) in 1938, and after 1945 it was moved to a factory in Ústí nad Labem . From T 200 002 is known to the former company. Graf in Byšice (1946 Okres Mělník arrived). This company was later renamed Vitana. The vehicle was in service there until 1973. Today it is owned by the NTM and can be viewed in the Chomutov boiler house .

technical features

The machinery had a 65 HP gasoline engine with mechanical power transmission, which was housed under the narrow cab of the vehicle.

The vehicle was without a buffer, the operator in the driver's cab not only looked after the operation of the vehicle, but also took care of the coupling. Originally they had a hydraulic lifting device that reached under the buffer beam of the attached wagon when coupling in order to increase the frictional weight of the vehicle. Later the lifting device was also driven mechanically.
