The vehicles of the ČSD series T 333.0 were diesel locomotives of the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) for shunting service. They were created in 1943 to streamline the shunting service in larger train stations.

history

The two prototypes were built at Škoda in Pilsen in 1943 . The first test operations were carried out in light shunting around Pilsen , where they proved their worth. Due to the quota of diesel fuel in the Second World War , there were no more deployments. The machines were placed in Zdice .

The locomotives were only used regularly after an inspection at the Nymburk plant around 1948.

The T 333.001 came to Cheb , where it took over traffic on branch lines and was taken out of service around 1957.

The T 333.002 was later handed over to Šumperk , where it received a new 12 V 170 DR engine as part of a major repair. In 1963 it was retired in Žilina . Both machines were sold after they were taken out of service.

technical features

The diesel locomotives had mechanical power transmission. Their conception corresponded to the German Wehrmacht locomotives .

The locomotives had an eight-cylinder diesel engine from Škoda, which had a piston diameter of 175 mm and a stroke of 240 mm. The performance was a four-speed transmission to a jackshaft given. Switching between the individual gears was carried out using a pneumatically controlled clutch. The driving axles were driven by driving and coupling rods.
