history

The U 25.9 series machine was one of several two-axle, uniform narrow-gauge tender locomotives that Maffei in Munich delivered to various private users in the construction industry around 1907 . The aforementioned locomotive is known to have been taken over by the Tereswatal Forest Railway after a building auction and to be included in the ČSD U 25.9 series . The locomotive was used for shunting at a landing site in the Tereswa valley in Ust-Tschorna .

The locomotive was in service in its area of operation from 1927 to 1940. In 1939, when the Tereswatal forest railway was continued to be operated by the private company Taracsvölgyi erdei vasút (TEV, German "Forest Railway Theresiental"), the locomotive was given the designation K 25.901 .

The literature does not provide any information about other areas of application.
