Đermana Šeta

Đermana Šeta is a contemporary Bosnian personality of Islam in Bosnia and Herzegovina . She heads the research department of the Nahla Center for Education and Research ( Centru za edukaciju i istraživanje Nahla ) in Sarajevo .

Life

She studied religious studies and English and is the author of numerous articles and translations on gender and religious topics.

Đermana Šeta is a board member of the branch of the US-Muslim think tank International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) in Bosnia and Herzegovina , which focuses on the US headquarters in Herndon (Virginia) near Washington, DC . Bringing Islam into knowledge ”(Islamization of knowledge) or the“ Islamization of science ”(Islamization of science). IIIT director in Sarajevo is Ahmet Alibašić .

She was one of the speakers at the IIIT European Summer School 2017 , co-organized by the IIIT's London office .

She is the author of a book on the disadvantage of the veiled (see Hijab ).
