Đorđe Ivelja ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ђорђе Ивеља , born June 30, 1984 in Bačka Palanka , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player .

Club career

In January 2002, the young Đorđe Ivelja was signed by OFK Belgrade after having caused a sensation at his previous club FK Bačka Bačka Palanka with 32 goals in 45 games. Until 2008, the midfielder played in the Serbian capital. Since the winter break of the 2008/09 season, the Serb has been a supplementary player at the Romanian club Rapid Bucharest .

National team

Đorđe Ivelja was part of the U-21 national team at the U-21 European Football Championship in 2007 . There he played a game that was lost 2-0 to the team from England . At the end of the tournament, the Serbs lost to the Netherlands 4-1 in the final.
