Şalom (“ Schalom ”) is a Turkish - and (one page of which) Ladino-language Jewish weekly newspaper that appears in Istanbul and is aimed primarily at Turkish Jews . The newspaper was founded in 1947 by Avram Leyon and has a secular orientation. The first edition appeared on October 29, 1947. 5,000 copies are currently sold per week. Yakup Barokas is the editor-in-chief .
