Şti. , abbreviated as Şerbetli , manufactures water pipe tobacco and has been offering it on the German market since around November 2005. The company's headquarters are in Trabzon , Turkey . Along with Nakhla and Al Waha , the Şerbetli brand is one of the best-known in Germany.

The tobacco is available in the industry-standard 50-gram, 100-gram and 200-gram packs. In addition, the manufacturer also offers the rather unusual 10-gram trial packs. At the moment (as of: Feb. 2008) the following flavors are available on the German market: double apple , apple, banana, strawberry, honeydew melon, pineapple, mango, mint, fruit mix, chocolate, cappuccino, peach, lime, orange, raspberry, lemon, Rose, cherry, white grape, black grape and coconut.

Temporary ban on sale

After dealers received post from the food control of the city of Landsberg am Lech on May 23, 2006 , in which a ban on the sale of Şerbetli tobacco with excessive moisture was justified, some dealers took the tobacco out of their range. The importer responsible for sales in Europe, the Wiesbaden company ASA GmbH, also temporarily withdrew tobacco from the market. The Şerbetli brand tobacco produced for the German market exceeded the 5 percent humectant limit stipulated by the Tobacco Ordinance . According to a report by the specialist shisha magazine "hookahMag", initially only the cappuccino flavor was affected, which forbidden contained over 40 percent moisture.

In the meantime, Şerbetli has reacted and launched a new, adapted variant of its tobacco on the German market. In response to the necessary changes, Şerbetli also produces a suitable molasses mix for each tobacco direction.
