Al Waha ( Arabic الواحة 'The oasis') is a water pipe tobacco from Jordan .

Company history

The Al Waha brand belongs to the Middle East for Tobacco Company (METCO). METCO was founded in 1972 in Zarqa , the largest industrial center in Jordan. Almost 50% of the Jordanian industry is concentrated in this center. According to its own information, METCO currently employs around 600 people (as of 2013). Middle East Tobacco ships its items to over 33 countries around the world. In addition to Al-Waha tobacco, the brands Al-Jazeera , Alsharq Molasses , Al-Ahmad , Amasi Molasses and Max Molasses , Infinity Molasses as well as honeydew molasses and water pipe charcoal are also manufactured and sold.

Products

Al Waha uses a French base tobacco and flavors from Europe for its water pipe tobacco .

The classic Al-Waha tobacco is available in packs of 50 g, 200 g and 200 g in cans and 500 g and 1 kg in buckets. In addition, other large packs are offered in the Arab region for the catering trade.

In addition to the classic Al-Waha tobacco, a premium version is also available in a 200 g can.

After the Al-Waha tobacco had to comply with German legislation and was only allowed to contain 5% moisture, it was produced separately for the German market. The manufacturer had issued its own molasses for moistening.
