Šakali

Šakali ( Serbian - Cyrillic Шакали ; German jackals ) was a paramilitary unit from Serbia that fought in the Kosovo war.

Members of the group are suspected, on 14 May 1999 at the village Ćuška a massacre of 42 Albanian civilians to have committed.

The leader of the group, Nebojša Minić (1964-2005), was arrested in Argentina in 2005 , but died shortly afterwards. The trial of nine defendants in connection with the massacre began on December 20, 2010 in Belgrade. International searches are still underway for 15 suspects. On December 25, 2010, the former Šakali member Zoran Obradović was arrested in Germany.
