Šekib Mujanović

Šekib Mujanović (born July 10, 1969 in Brčko , Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian turbo-folk singer.

Life

Šekib Mujanović grew up in a simple family in a working class. He began to be interested in music as a child. He already had his first appearances in secondary school at the “Mladi graditelji” festival. After completing his basic military service, Šekib Mujanovic founded his band "Nirvana", with which he has already achieved local success.

In addition, he began studying at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Sarajevo , which he broke off on the advice of a friend in 1992 and moved to Austria . In Austria he worked with the "Didi Midi" band until 1998, before he began recording his first studio album in the same year. At the same time he met the producer of the record label "In Takt Records", Suad Jukić Šule, with whom he finally worked and released his first album ("Čovjek bez adrese").

In 2002 he brought out his second studio album, in which he again supported Jukić Šule.

In 2006 his most successful album to date was "Usne od paucine". Most of the texts were written by Rasim Korajac, a long-time friend of Mujanovic.

He brought out his latest album in spring 2011 ("Pozelim").
