Poggenkrug is a village in the Wittmund district of Willen .

Poggenkrug has around 50 residents and borders the Alten Postweg from Wittmund to Ardorf and the Wittmund Forest to the north . The Töpperschloot rises in Poggenkrug .

history

The community of Willen, to which Poggenkrug belonged, was incorporated into Wittmund on August 16, 1972. The village was already recorded on maps in 1730. It joined the rural community of Willen in 1842 and belonged to it until 1972. In 1945 Tannenkamp became part of Poggenkrug.
