Angelsburg is a village in the Willen district of the district town of Wittmund . It is located 200 meters north of Willen and 1.5 kilometers from Wittmund. Angelsburg has around 500 inhabitants and is located north of the federal highway 210 and east of the Wittmund Forest .

Angelsburg was already settled in the 16th century. Angelsburg was first mentioned in a document in 1809. The occasion was joining the Willen site.

The municipality of Willen, to which Angelsburg belonged, was incorporated into Wittmund on August 16, 1972.
