Leegeroarf (also Leegeoraf , Leegeograf or Leegewarf) is a small village near Willen , which belongs to the district town of Wittmund in Lower Saxony and has 6 inhabitants.

geography

Leegeroarf lies between Tannenkamp and Willen. Leegeroarf borders in the north on the Wittmund Forest , in the south on Neuenhaus and is m above sea level. NN . The Leegewarfsschloot also rises in Leegeroarf .

history

Leegeroarf has been settled since the 19th century. The community of Willen, to which Leegeroarf belonged, was incorporated into Wittmund on August 16, 1972.

economy

On Baumschulenweg there is a tree nursery run by the "Schoon" company, which has existed since 1979. This also has a tree plantation in Kreyenburg .

traffic

In the north there is the B 210 , this goes to Emden on the A 31 , which runs to Bottrop. The eastward part of the B 210 goes to Wilhelmshaven .
