District Administration of 'K' Prague (Malý pitaval z velkého města) was a Czechoslovak television series that was shot in two seasons in 1982 and 1986. The focus of the crime series was Captain Kubát with his collective of criminalists, who solved criminal cases in and around Prague. In each episode, the investigation was assigned to a different investigator, with the "collective" being investigated continuously. In addition to Kubát (Ladislav Frej), the team of the district administration included Lieutenant Pekař (Vlastimil Hašek), Jiří Otradovec (Michal Pešek), the extremely "cool" criminalist Hamřík (Pavel Zedníček) and investigator Krajíček (Jiří Krampol).
The stories come from Jaroslav Dietl , who celebrated a great success with The Hospital on the Edge of the City , directed by Jaroslav Dudek , who also directed all 20 episodes of the hospital series written by Dietl. The cameraman was Jindřích Novotný. Of the 15 episodes, only 12 were dubbed in German on GDR television and were later repeated numerous times in the third programs. The episode "The Cyclist" has never been shown again since the GDR era.
