Neuenhaus (Wittmund)

Neuenhaus is part of the Willen district of Wittmund . It has between 20 and 30 residents.

history

The name already existed around 1700 when a Neuenhaus family lived near Willen. In 1730 Neuenhaus was a recognized small village by Willen. In 1804 it joined the district of Willen and in 1842 the rural community of Groß-Willen.

The community Willen, to which Neuenhaus belonged, was incorporated into Wittmund on August 16, 1972.

Neuenhaus is located 500 m west of Willen, one kilometer east of Poggenkrug and 2.5 km west of Wittmund.
