The Škoda Push-Pull sets are double-decker cars for locomotive hauled trains from the railway manufacturer Škoda Transportation . In Germany, it is currently planned to operate the DB Regio railway company between Munich and Nuremberg.

Munich-Nuremberg Express

The DB Regio Bayern plans within the network Ringzug West / NBS push-pull sets the Munich-Nuremberg-Express to use. This regional express line runs the new line between Ingolstadt and Nuremberg , which other vehicles can use at speeds of up to 300 km / h. The vehicles are to replace the former IC cars on this route and offer around 20 percent more space. The 36 cars ordered in August 2013, together with the six locomotives, have an order value of 110 million euros.

The class 102 (Emil Zátopek) is planned as the locomotive . A train consists of a control car , four intermediate cars and an end car and is designed for a top speed of 189 km / h. With this locomotive, such a unit has a length of around 177 m. Equipped with a pressure-tight car body, oncoming traffic with vehicles traveling at speeds of up to 300 km / h is also permitted in tunnels. With a platform height of 760 millimeters, the vehicles have a barrier-free entrance, which is realized by a folding ramp.

A total of 676 seats are available in both car classes . The vehicles also have a children's area. The trains also have 37 bicycle parking spaces and space for people with reduced mobility and their companions. The entire interior is air-conditioned and the cars have internet access.
