Željko Petrović (kyr. Жељко Петровић; born November 13, 1965 in Nikšić , Yugoslavia ) is a former professional football player and current team manager of the Japanese first division club Urawa Red Diamonds .
He began his career in 1987 with the Yugoslav club FK Budućnost Podgorica . In 1990 he moved to Dinamo Zagreb , and the following year to Spanish FC Sevilla . After further positions with Dutch clubs, he went to Japan in 1998 to Urawa Red Diamonds . In 2004 he ended his playing career at RKC Waalwijk.
In 2006 he became a coach at the Portuguese club Boavista Porto . There he was released after only two months for failure. From 2007 to 2008 he coached his former club RKC Waalwijk . For the following season he was brought into the Hamburger SV coaching staff by Martin Jol .
Between 1990 and 1998 he played 18 times for the Yugoslav national team.
