Ḫantili II.
Ḫantili II. Was a Hittite great king of the 15th century BC. Chr.
According to a document, Ḫantili II was the son of Alluwamna and probably his successor. On the other hand, his predecessor could have been Taḫurwaili .
During his reign the Kaškäer invaded the Hittite country repeatedly. They destroyed the Nerik and Tiliura , which is why Hantili strengthened the fortifications of the capital Ḫattuša and other cities. He was probably also the ruler who made a treaty with Paddatiššu, King of Kizzuwatna , according to which nomads who came to the opposite side had to be returned with their property. He was succeeded by his son Zidanta II.
