1-10 Moray Place
An ensemble of residential buildings is located at 1-10 Moray Place in the Scottish city of Glasgow . In 1966 the building was included as an individual monument in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.
history
The ensemble was built between 1859 and 1861 to a design by the Scottish architect Alexander Thomson . The approximately £ 5,600 work was carried out by John McIntyre . In 1900, additions were made by John Bennie Wilson to house number 1, which Thomson once lived in . Between 1974 and 1984 the row of buildings was gradually restored.

The two-story ensemble is located on Moray Place in the south of Glasgow. As usual for Thomson's work, the facades are designed in the Greek Revival style . The three-axis-wide closing buildings are more elaborately designed and emerge from the facade. The colossal ante is pilastrated . It closes with a triangular gable . The sweeping cornices are ornamented in Greek. The roofs are covered with slate.
