1st division (chess) 2000/01

The 2000/01 season was the 39th season of the 1st division, the top division of the Danish team championship in chess at the time .

The Helsinge Skakklub were superior Danish champions, while the defending champion SK 1934 Nykøbing only secured relegation in the last round and ended up in fifth place. The SK 1968 Århus and the Lyngby-Virum Skakklub were promoted from the 2nd division . SK 1968 Århus reached third place, but Lyngby had to be relegated without a chance. The second relegation place was only determined in a playoff on May 19, 2001, as Office / 2 Nordre and Århus Skakklub were tied for both board and team points. Nordre won 4½: 3½ and relegated the local rivals to the relegation zone. For the reported team squads see team squad of the 1st division (chess) 2000/01 .

The competitions were held on November 5, 18 and 19, 2000, January 14, 2001, February 4, 2001 and on March 17 and 18, 2001.
