1st division (chess) 2002/03

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2002/03 season was the 41st season of the 1st division, the top division of the Danish team championship in chess at the time .

The defending champions Helsinge Skakklub and Skolernes Skakklub fought head-to-head for the title. Since both teams reached the same number of board and team points in the end, a playoff had to decide on the awarding of the title; Helsinge won this 5: 3. The Århus Skakklub and the Skakklubben K41 were promoted from the 2nd division . Both climbers achieved relegation, while the Nordre Skakklub and the Skakklubben Sydkysten had to relegate . For the reported team squad see team squad of the 1st division (chess) 2002/03 .
