history

When the system of company sports associations (BSG) collapsed in 1990 due to the economic changes as a result of the political change , the BSG Chemie PCK Schwedt split into two new registered associations , the FSV PCK 90 and the SSV PCK. The football sports club (FSV) took over the football section of the BSG and, for the 1990/91 season, its place in the newly founded Brandenburg State League . The FSV became national champions and thus rose to the third-class Oberliga Nord-Ost. There, the Schwedter reached eighth place and five twice in 1994. On July 1, 1993, the club renamed itself to 1. FC Schwedt. With fifth place in 1994, 1. FC qualified for the newly introduced third-class regional league, but waived their starting place. He also appeared in the now fourth-class Oberliga Nord-Ost in the 1994/95 season and ended up eighth at the end of the season. After an eleventh place in 1996, 1. FC Schwedt played for the last time in the league in 1995/96. After the 6th match day, the club filed for bankruptcy on September 27, 1996 and was then dissolved. The youth department of 1. FC Schwedt joined VGS 90 Schwedt, which later became FC Schwedt 02. This has not yet reached the higher-class league area.
