The 11 Luchtmobiele Brigade ( German 11th airmobile brigade ) is an independent brigade within the Dutch military . It is made up of units of the Dutch Army (Landmacht) and the Dutch Air Force (Luchtmacht) . The brigade is completely airmobile and parts of the three fighter battalions have paratroopers . The major unit set up in 1992 can be deployed with personnel, weapons and supply units worldwide within seven to 20 days, for example on behalf of NATO , the EU or the United Nations . From 1994 to 2002 she was part of the Multinational Division Central (MND-C) of NATO. Operations took place or are taking place e.g. B. in the context of the Iraq Mission ( SFIR ) and in Afghanistan ( ISAF ).
The approximately 2,100-strong unit is stationed in Schaarsbergen and Assen .
The 11th Air Mobile Brigade is part of the new German Rapid Forces Division , which officially went into service on January 1, 2014 in Stadtallendorf. This was the first time in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany that a task force from the Netherlands was integrated into the German armed forces .
