Construction began in 2014. The 54-storey building is 228 meters high. Only office space was created on the 111,000 square meters that the building encompasses. The Goettsch Partners office was commissioned with the planning .

The building was officially opened on April 20, 2017.

The building has been awarded the gold standard of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design . The Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award followed in 2019 .

Nicknames

In Chicago, the building bears the nickname The Tuning Fork (dt. The tuning fork ) and The Guillotine .
