The 2nd Landwehr Infantry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

history

The brigade was set up on August 2, 1914 with the outbreak of the First World War as a 2nd mixed Landwehr brigade and initially used in the stage . From April 4, 1915, she was subordinate to the 6th Landwehr Division and deployed on the Western Front until the end of the war.

On August 2, 1914, the brigade was subject to the following units:

  • Landwehr Infantry Regiment 3
  • Landwehr Infantry Regiment 12

With the departure of the 1st Landwehr Infantry Brigade on 31 December 1916, the 2nd Landwehr Infantry Brigade was the starting 2 January 1917 Landwehr Infantry Regiment 1 assumed.
