description

The two-story building is located in the city center near the cemetery and the former Kilncraigs Mills . It has an L-shaped floor plan, with the wing leading to the north as well as various modern, rear additions not visible from the street. The exposed masonry of the symmetrically constructed house consists of ashlar stones. Along the south-facing front, the windows are arranged on four vertical axes and thus surround the central entrance door. Above this there is an ornamented cartouche decorated with foliage with the inscription 1695 / TB / ML and an artfully crafted sundial. All stone carvings are of exceptional quality. All window and door openings close with a ledge . At ground level, the right window is no longer in its original state. The building ends with a gable roof , the gable of which is worked as a stepped gable .
