It runs in a north-south direction for a length of 30 kilometers and connects the city of Gussew (Gumbinnen) with the Russian-Polish state border at the Gołdap- Gussew border crossing point, where it is extended in the Polish state road DK 65 . The road runs through the two Russian urban districts of Gussew (Gumbinnen) and Osjorsk (Darkehmen / Angerapp) and connects them with the Polish district of Gołdap (Goldap) .
The total length of the regional road 27A-011 runs on a section of the former German Reichsstraße 132 .
