The 343rd Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on October 1, 1942 at the Grafenwöhr military training area in Bavaria . The 343rd Infantry Division was destroyed on September 19, 1944 when the Brest Fortress fell in France .
