The 39th Infantry Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on July 11, 1942 in Vlissingen in the Netherlands and was initially stationed in the Netherlands. In April 1943 the unit was relocated to the Eastern Front in the Kharkov area. In the Ukraine , the unit suffered heavy losses and was dissolved on October 23, 1943rd
