45 minutes of German physical exercises was a major sporting event on August 9, 1936 in the Berlin Olympic Stadium .

A total of 4,000 German gymnasts performed mass gymnastics on the eve of the Olympic gymnastics competitions.

Calisthenics, club swinging and ball games were offered. Master gymnasts from Hamburg and Berlin showed u. a. Demonstrations on the rings. The Hamburg gymnasts had qualified in an elimination gymnastics on July 6, 1936. In addition, the four-time Olympic champion from 1896 Carl Schuhmann and an age group showed three exercises.
