59th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht)
The 59th Infantry Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on June 26, 1944 at the Groß Born military training area in Pomerania, among others from the staff of the former Mielau infantry division and then moved to the Dunkirk area in France on August 19, 1944 . Heavy retreats followed up to the Ruhr area . The remainder of the division went in April 1945 in the space Wermelskirchen - Castle in western Allied prisoners of war .
