Band history

The band was founded in 1992 by Magnus Larnhed (vocals / guitar), Michael Conradsson (bass), Toni Virtanen (drums) and Kai Kalliomäki (guitar). The band name was inspired by the song of the same name by the band Hüsker Dü . Kai was soon replaced by Niklas Lundgren, who stayed with the band until the band split up in 2001. With their first demo tape Feeling Down they attracted the attention of the record label Burning Heart Records , where they signed their first contract in 1993. The following year they recorded the album Blind Anger & Hate , which was exceptionally short with 10 songs.

During the Swedish hardcore and melodypunk phase in March 1995, 59 Times the Pain recorded their first full-length debut album on Unisound Recordings : More Out of Today .

In September 1995 the punk rockers recorded the album Twenty Percent of My Hand . Due to the fast and aggressive nature of the album and the very successful single Can't Change Me , this album became one of the most successful in the history of 59TTP.

The follow-up album, End of the Millennium , was released in February 1999. On their fourth album, released in 2000, they developed their style and combined the hardcore with melodic elements.

In 2001 the band broke up.

After their breakup, they played a show at the Groezrock Festival in Meerhout , Belgium in 2008 .
