description

The three-story building is located on Market Street , the city's main street, in the center of Haddington, not far from City Hall . It was built around 1760. Located in the middle of a closed street, the house has two neighboring buildings. Business premises are set up on the ground floor.

The south-facing front of the classicist building is five axes wide. In the middle there is a round arch portal to the business premises. The flanking flat shop windows do not correspond to the original condition. As on the building edges, the masonry on the ground floor is rusticated . Along the upper floors, four colossal Ionic pilasters structure the facade vertically. A segmented gable and two triangular gables crown the middle windows on the first floor. The facade closes with a massive triangular gable. The roof is covered with slate.
