84th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht)

The 84th Infantry Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on February 2, 1944 near Dieppe in France . In 1944 she was involved in fighting against Western Allied forces in Normandy, France. On August 20, 1944, the division was destroyed in the Falaise pocket.

From October 1944, the division was set up again in the Kleve area. The newly established division went under during the fighting over the Wesel bridgehead on the Lower Rhine .
