Lists on the subject

The 9 mm Glisenti cartridge was the standard pistol ammunition of the Italian armed forces.

It was developed for the Glisenti self-loading pistol M.1910 , which was introduced under this model name in the Italian army as an orderly weapon. Externally, the cartridge is identical to the 9 mm Parabellum (truncated cone bullet). The only difference is the about a third less power due to the design of the Glisenti pistol. The Glisenti cartridge was only made with a truncated cone bullet. A perfect differentiation between 9 mm glisenti and 9 mm parabellum (truncated cone bullet) is only possible using the headstamp. Glisenti cartridges were only made in Italy and usually bear the identification of the state ammunition factories. The cartridge was used in the Italian army until 1938. Today it is only made by Fiocchi.
