The A-35-ABM system was a missile defense system of the Soviet Army .

The system entered service in 1971 and was the only Soviet missile defense weapon allowed under the ABM Treaty of 1972. It served to protect the capital Moscow and consisted of four missile positions each with 16 A-350 anti-missile missiles with nuclear warheads .

The successor system was the A-135-ABM system . The American counterpart under the ABM Treaty was the Safeguard system.
