A17 road ( English for road A17 ) is a busy trunk road in England . It begins at Newark-on-Trent , where it branches off the A1 road and the A46 road at the Winthorpe roundabout roundabout , and runs in a generally west-south-west direction, Sleaford immediately north, via Holbeach to King's Lynn , where it ends and onto the A149 road transforms. The road only has four lanes on short sections such as the Sleaford bypass.
