It starts in London , runs u. a. via Ewell to the south-south-west, crosses the M25 motorway ring road at Leatherhead at its junction 9, then uses the course of the Roman road Stane Street for parts , crosses the A25 road in Dorking , runs west past Horsham and finally ends in Worthing on the English Channel .
