ABC Color

ABC Color is a Paraguayan daily newspaper founded in 1967 . It was the first color printed newspaper in the country to be distributed nationwide. The newspaper's website is the most popular online news site in the country. The newspaper and associated media are owned by Editorial Azeta SA in Asunción .

history

At first she was positive about the Paraguayan military dictatorship . This changed in the late 1970s and its editor, Aldo Zuccolillo , was imprisoned for some time in 1983. The following year the Interior Ministry banned the newspaper and banned journalists from working for other media. After the end of the dictatorship , operations were resumed in 1989.

In 2014 journalists Pablo Medina and Antonia Almada were murdered while researching drug trafficking.

Since 1996 there has been an online edition of ABC Digital , the most visited news site from Paraguay on the Internet.

The radio station ABC Cardinal AM has also been operated since 2016 and ABC TV since 2017 .
