Aldo Zuccolillo

Aldo Zuccolillo (born July 3, 1929 in Asunción ; † July 14, 2018 ) was a Paraguayan entrepreneur. He was the founder and owner of the daily ABC Color .

Aldo Zuccollilo was born the son of the Italian immigrant Antonio Zuccolillo Abbondante. From an early age he worked in his father's company, together with his brothers Antonio and Julio Cesar. He managed the family fortune from his youth until August 8, 1967 when he founded ABC Color newspaper .

His group included Banco Atlas , various shopping malls, the telecommunications company Personal, and various real estate companies, among others. This made him one of the most Paraguayans with an estimated fortune of about 1 billion US dollars .

As a fighter for democracy and freedom of the press, Zuccolillo went down in history beyond the country's borders. He himself has been arrested several times after some of his journalists had previously been arrested.
