AB Vingriai

AB Vingriai was a company of metalworking in Vilnius , Lithuania . The company was founded in 1957 as the Grinding Machine Factory ( Lithuanian Vilniaus šlifavimo staklių gamykla ) in Soviet Lithuania and restructured from 1959 to 1964. In 1982 there were 1,600 employees. In 2002 Akcinė bendrovė "Vingriai", formerly "Komunaras", merged with AB "Šlifavimo staklės".

After several unsuccessful restructurings, the company had to file for bankruptcy in 2014 and was dissolved. In 2015, 106 people were still employed at Vingriai during the settlement process.
