ACiD Productions

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ACiD Productions ( ACiD ) is a scene art group founded in 1990 , which originally specialized in ANSI art for mailboxes . In recent years, with the decline of the mailbox scene, there has been a shift to other major activities such as software development and graphic design.

history

ACiD ( ANSI Creators in Demand ) was founded in 1990 by 5 members: RaD Man , Shadow Demon , Grimm , The Beholder and Phantom . Their work originally focused on ANSI and ASCII art , with the group later also dealing with other artistic media such as tracking , demo programming, and multimedia software development (e.g. image viewing programs).

In the mid-1990s, ACiD founded aid groups that dealt with those areas separately, e.g. B. Remorse , an official ACiD subgroup, which deals exclusively with ASCII-Art and other text-based graphics. The situation is similar with pHluid , which deals with module tracking and music production.

Nowadays ACiD mainly focuses on the preservation of digital art history, radio talk shows and the sale of their art scene archives in DVD form.
