Black Maiden (BM) is a demo scene - artists' group .

Originally founded in 1985 as a cracker group at the Amstrad CPC in Luxembourg , the scope of action shifted from Black Maiden in 1994 to the PC and the digital art scene located there (in scene language "arts scene"), which at that time mainly dealt with ASCII and ANSI type busy. The so far last BM-Book - number 22 - was released in March 2001. With the increasing popularity of the Internet and the concomitant decline of the BBS scene changed the group, now consisting mainly of German members, once its focus and is now in the demo scene active .

Members of the group have been organizing the Evoke demo party since 1997 and work in the digital culture association . V.
