ADSL server system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ADSL Server System is the project and later application name for a data processing system from Deutsche Telekom AG and consists of several sub-applications .

Partial applications

ADSL SV server (service sales)

The ADSL-SV-Server contains the IT support for the sales processes of the provision (order and pre-order) of all ADSL-based products of Deutsche Telekom. These include the well-known consumer products of the T-DSL family as well as the products of the business segment (CompanyConnect, IntraSelect).

ADSL NI server (ADSL network infrastructure)

The ADSL NI server maps the infrastructure of the xDSL access network and supports the processes in the operational environment. This includes recording and changing the DSLAM infrastructure ( LineCards ) and the functions for port allocation and information functions for wiring details.

ATM-NI-Server (ATM network infrastructure)

The ATM-NI-Server documents the infrastructure of the ATM backbone - the second mile. This network section connects the DSLAMs close to the customer with the transition points in the IP network, the BB-RAR (Broadband Remote Access Router).

ADSL-FM-DB (ADSL error message database)

The ADSL-FM-DB is the DSL diagnosis and fault clearance program of First Level Support. In addition to the overview of a wide range of status information on the customer connection (including dial-in status, synchronicity measurement, loopback of the DSL module and the customer modem / router and the DSL line values), current network messages (traps) are also correlated in this system and supported by diagnostic functions. An impact analysis enables the effects of major disruptions and maintenance work to be identified. The program works depending on authorization. Not every customer advisor can use all functions.

DB2 query

The DB2 query enables the identification of failed password attempts and password locks of the respective DSL user based on the T-Online number. For employees of the technical customer service there was the so-called DB2 tool until January 31, 2011, which made it possible to query the T-Online blocking information quickly. However, this web-based tool has been deactivated since February 1, 2011. Locks and failed password attempts can now be read out with the ES (expert system) or with CRM-T.

ASS2NMS (ADSL Server System t (w) o Network Management System)

ASS2NMS is a user-free platform for communication between the process mapping IT systems of the ASS and the network management systems (e.g. ServiceOn ) of xDSL technology.

ASS2NMS is slightly exotic within the ADSL server system, as the application was developed entirely on the basis of Java.

service

The sub-applications of the ADSL server system all have a web-based surface based on Microsoft ASP / ASP.NET technology. The data management of the overall system is based on several technically separate database systems based on MS SQL 2016 and Oracle 12.1.

Others

For some time now, DSL products have been produced on the BNG architecture. The applications of the ADSL server system are not used here. A different process chain is used.
