AGILE ( Italian A stro-rivelatore G amma a I mmagini LE ggero) is a small satellite of the Italian space agency ASI based on the Mita platform , which the company COSMOS launched with an Indian PSLV launcher on April 23, 2007 together with AAM on a 550 km high equatorial orbit shot. Carlo Gavazzi Space built the satellite .

The payload consists of an imaging -Weitwinkel- 60 ° detector for hard gamma radiation , which the All of GRBs to scan and other high-energy radiation sources. AGILE sends the data to the ground using a Rubin module via the Orbcomm system.
