The AIDC T-CH-1 Chung Hsing was a turboprop-powered military trainer aircraft of the Taiwanese Air Force.

development

The T-CH-1 was developed from the piston engine-powered American North American T-28 Trojan trainer. The main difference to the T-28 was the turboprop engine used. The first prototype flew on November 23, 1973. A second prototype flew after that same year. The T-CH-1 was designed in a conventional configuration as a low-wing aircraft with retractable nose-wheel landing gear. Students and teachers sit one behind the other. Production amounted to fifty aircraft for the Taiwanese Air Force.
